March 30, 2023, 12:05 a.m.

Ultramarine Lorikeets belong to the parrot family having the most beautiful blend of colors on their bodies. Their body is different shades of blue with bright orange legs and beaks. They have a turquoise frontal head with a Prussian blue cap.

This bird is found on the islands of French Polynesia. They were sighted in areas of Ua Pou, Fatu Hiva, Ua Huka, and Nuku Hiva.

They have a varied diet consisting of blossoms, insects, and various fruits.

These birds are critically endangered as less than 1000 birds remain in their population. They are declining in number due to habitat degradation.

Do you consider the extinction of parrots, which, perhaps, have the most beautiful combination of colors on their bodies, to be a problem? How can this problem be solved?
